The St. Paul Processing and Distribution Center in Eagan opened in October, 2010, replacing a facility in downtown St. Paul. It handles sortation and transportation of originating and destinating mail for most of eastern Minnesota and the western third of Wisconsin.
At the facility, more than 900 employees and more than 50 state-of-the-art pieces of processing equipment cancel and sort more than six millions letters and up to 500,000 flats (large envelopes, magazines, etc) each day.
The St. Paul P&DC in Eagan is equipped with 128 dock doors accommodating up to 500 trucks each day. The doors feature a new dock plate system that enhances safe operation, saves energy and produces a more comfortable work area.
The St. P&DC in Eagan meets Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) requirements. LEED certification provides independent, third-party verification that a building is environmentally responsible and a healthy place to work.
