The New Face of Hunger in Dakota County Event
While Dakota County is a thriving community, residents often are not aware that over 19,000 of the people living here are considered to be living in poverty, according to the Dakota County Office of Planning and Analysis.
Do you know someone who is hungry? Perhaps it is a family member, student, co-worker, parishioner or neighbor? Did you know that many people are experiencing hunger silently, and are afraid or too humbled to reach out for help? Learn how you can make a difference in eliminating hunger.
Please join NNDC on Wednesday, May 12th for a program called The New Face of Hunger in Dakota County at the Apple Valley Library (Room L139) from 10:30am-12:00pm.
Presentations and panelists include representatives from Dakota County Office of Planning and Analysis, Eagan Resource Center, Neighbors, Inc, Hastings Family Service, Second Harvest Heartland, St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Experience Works and other community members.
