The Buzz
Join us for May's Buzz where we will learn CPR, presented by the South Metro Fire Department.
Did you know that the leading cause of death in the United States is Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)?SCA strikes over 350,000 people each year and tragically the national survival rate is only 5%. This deadly condition can affect anyone of any age at anytime.
What can you do about this? Learn CPR and how to use an AED. These things can double, if not triple, the chances of survival.
The South Metro Fire Department along with the Dakota County Heart Restart and Heart Safe Communities have a goal of training 10% of the population of South St. Paul and West St. Paul in the life saving skills of CPR and AED use. So at this month's The Buzz, we will be helping them reach that 10% and learn CPR and how to use AED. Who knows, maybe we could all save a life!
Interested in hosting your own class? The South Metro Fire Department will offer FREE CPR Anytime classes to groups. CPR Anytime can be taught in as little as 20 minutes to groups of any size and age. Please contact heartrestart@southmetrofire.com or call 651-552-4175 to set up a class or get more information.
TOGETHER WE CAN ALL LEARN HOW TO SAVE A LIFE!
