Ribbon Cutting - The Open Door

Join us to celebrate The Open Door's new location!

The Open Door, in conjunction with the DCR Chamber, Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce, Burnsville Chamber of Commerce, Lakeville Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, and River Heights Chamber of Commerce, is having a ribbon cutting and happy hour to celebrate The Open Door's new location. For the first time in the organization's history the Eagan Pantry and entire staff will be housed under the same roof. Moving to the new 18,800 square feet space will double the existing Eagan Pantry shopping space, increased their cold storage capacity allowing them to offer more fresh, healthy food, and allow them to increase the number of appointments per month.

Event Schedule:
3:30 pm – 4:00 pm – Arrival/networking
4:00 pm – Cutting of the ribbon with remarks from The Open Door and DCR Chamber Representative
4:15 pm – 5:30 pm – Open house with refreshments and snacks

About The Open Door:
The Open Door is a hunger relief organization dedicated to ending local hunger through access to healthy food. Through its collective programs, The Open Door serves more than 17,000 Dakota County residents each month, and distributes over 2 million pounds of food annually, 70% of which is fresh and/or perishable. Clients are able to access healthy food choices through a fixed-site food pantry in Eagan, multiple Mobile Pantry sites, the Mobile Lunch Box, and the Garden To Table program.
