Planes, Trains and Automobiles: The Future of Minnesota's Transportation System
Join us for a discussion on one of the hottest topics emerging from the 2015 Legislative Session. Roads, bridges, transit, rail, waterways, ongoing maintenance, planning authority, and sustainable funding are all concerns for Minnesotans. How do we approach this multi-faceted subject; and more importantly, what do we really need to stay competitive and how are we going to pay for it?
Charles A. Zelle was appointed Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton and began the job on January 15, 2013. MnDOT is the Minnesota state agency charged with managing and maintaining the state’s multi-modal transportation system.
Zelle came to MnDOT from Jefferson Lines, an intercity bus company with routes in 13 heartland states from Minnesota to Texas. He worked there for more than 20 years, and served as President and Chief Executive Officer.
