Your Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce has been offered an opportunity to help arm small businesses with the tools you need to get some control over the skyrocketing costs of employee health.
The Alliance for a Healthier Minnesota is organizing a series of focus groups to ask small businesses to discuss their company’s frustrations with health care. Specifically, they want to know what kinds of information would be of value to you.
No one is going to try to sell you anything! The Alliance is an organization supported by some of Minnesota’s largest companies. Its members include Target, Medtronic, UnitedHealth, Cargill, Blue Cross, General Mills, and Medica). These companies originally got together in part to share best practices about employee benefits. But they also quickly realized small businesses should participate in this discussion as well.
Please RSVP to Ruthe at rbatulis@dcrchamber.com.
This series of focus groups will focus on the greatest struggles for small businesses in this area, and what they need to be prepared for ongoing changes in the coming months and years.
Please join us and our member, Blue Cross and Blue Shield to voice your thoughts, struggles or concerns and help the Alliance for a Healthier Minnesota direct their efforts and information to best address your greatest needs and questions on the topic of health care. Please feel free to send your staff member who can address these issues regarding your business’ health insurance.
