Government Affairs Committee March 2011

Join us for the March Government Affairs Committee meeting featuring Minnesota State Demographer, Tom Gillaspy.

As our legislature struggles with our crushing deficit, government redesign, and unfunded pensions, get the rest of the story as Mr. Gillaspy outlines the changes and trends in our state, all of which affect our economy.

Mr. Gillaspy has served as the Minnesota State Demographer since 1979.  During that time, he has been involved with a wide-ranging set of issues, applying an understanding of demographic trends in such areas as the state’s economy, health care for an aging population, education, higher education, welfare reform, rural population change, labor shortages, immigration, housing, government spending, and the aging state workforce.
