Join us at Thomson Reuters for part one of two workshops exploring the process and procedures surrounding the state budget and tax reform. This event is unique in its non-partisan perspective, allowing Minnesotan’s an in-depth look into the procedures of the state, while also creating an open forum for attendees to discuss the budget challenges ahead.
No expertise required! These workshops have been developed with you in mind – focused on the values and principles surrounding budgeting and tax reform.
Introduction to the State Budget: Budget Balancing

The Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce, in alliance with the Citizens League, is hosting a workshop examining the process of balancing the state budget. The first workshop will be a general overview for attendees, an opportunity to understand the basics. How does the state budget work? What values and priorities are important to solving Minnesota’s budget challenges?
