SUMMARY:The WomEn's Circle: It's More Than The Estrogen
DESCRIPTION:DCR's first WomEn's Circle will be held on Thursday\, November 6th\, 2014 from 8-9 a.m. at Valleywood Golf Course in Apple Valley. This ongoing monthly series requires membership credentials within WomEn's Circle and is designed for women to develop leadership skills\, build business connections\, gain professional and personal skills and be energized\, educated and empowered. Cynthia (Cyndi) Lesher is the retired president and CEO\, Northern States Power Company-Minnesota\, an Xcel Energy company. During her career at Xcel Energy she served as Xcel Energy's vice president\, chief administrative officer and chief human resources officer\, president of NSP Gas\, vice president of NSP human resources\, and various other positions.\n\nLesher was appointed chair of the Governor's Workforce Development Council in 2004 by Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.  In 2003 she was inducted into the Women's Economic Roundtable\, comprising of the top 100 women leaders in Minnesota. \n\nCityBusiness magazine named her among the Twin Cities' most innovative women.  In 2007 she received the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal's Lifetime Career Achievement Award. There will be five morning meetings and three lunch meetings.  Each meeting will have time for networking and a speaker presentation that will be on a professional topic.\n\nThe annual associate fee is $150.00 which includes all eight meetings.  In addition there will be two optional social events to be held after hours\, that will be an additional fee. You may attend as a guest one time for a fee of $25.
