SUMMARY:Legislative Breakfast Series - Troubles Continue: MNsure and Health Care in MN
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, March 6 for your Chamber's Legislative Breakfast featuring a panel discussion on the future of MNsure and health care in Minnesota. A recent headline of "We Should've Done Better" says it all for the scathing MNsure report released from MN's Legislative Auditor. Its troubled rollout\, plagued by website malfunctions and other technical issues\, not only hurt initial enrollment in the exchange\, but it has also caused MNsure's largest and least expensive health insurer to pull out. Additionally\, MNsure recently announced that more than 60\,000 people had enrolled in qualified health plans during the second open enrollment period\, still falling short of its benchmarks and budgeting projections. As costs continue to rise\, businesses are left with less options and more questions than answers for providing health insurance to their employees. \n\nPanelists include:\n\n Jim Nobles\, Legislative Auditor (confirmed)\n\n Representative Tara Mack (invited)\n\n Senator Tony Lourey (invited)\n\n Commissioner Lucinda Jesson (invited)\n\n \n\n\nWhat's your top issue challenging the growth and expansion of your business? Personal Income Taxes? Increased Business Regulations? Health Care Costs Rising? Transportation? Education and Skilled Workforce?\n\n \n\nYour Chamber offers real-time information and resources on a number of issues important to your business through Legislative Breakfast Series. The breakfasts are designed for business community members to hear first-hand from lawmakers and industry experts on how legislation within all levels of government affect their businesses' bottom line\, job creation\, growth and expansion.
