SUMMARY:Green Business Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Local businesses in every sector are going green: recycling\, reducing their energy use\, reusing materials and more. But sustainability isn't one size fits all\; this workshop will give you the tools that work for your organization and save you the most money. Join us on September 13 for practical green initiatives\, local business success stories\, grants & incentives from your utilities\, and more.\n\n	\n\n	The Green Business Workshop will focus on internal green initiatives and staff green teams. A green team is a group of employees that develops green programs for their organization\, raises sustainability awareness of employees\, and facilitates the connection of green projects between departments. Once organized\, this voluntary employee group is able to achieve sustainable change that is specific to their organization's circumstances\, because that change is coming from within.\n\n	\n\n	We are honored to be hosting a panel of local business leaders that have saved money and reduced their footprint by implementing green intitatives. Tom Trutna\, president at Big Ink Display Graphics in Eagan and JD Greenwalt\, plant manager at Pepsi Bottling Group in Burnsville\, will be speaking about their green teams so you can learn from their success. Additionally\, local utility representatives and sustainability experts will be available to discuss the programs and assistance they offer for your organization at the end of the workshop.\n\n	\n\n	This event is free and open to businesses and non-profits in Eagan\, Apple Valley and Burnsville. Pre-registration is required\; go to www.DakotaValleyRecycling.org/ARROW for more information and registration.\n\n	\n\n	Click Here to access the registration form.
