SUMMARY:Farmington Area Business Council Breakfast April 2009
DESCRIPTION:The featured speaker in April will be Annette Kuyper with Farmington's Warrior to Citizen Campaign. The Warrior to Citizen Campaign focuses on: 1) Supporting local service members and their families\,2) Educating the community on military topics and deployment issues/concerns3) Recognition of our local soldiers and their family members The actions of our committee resulted in Farmington becoming the first Yellow Ribbon City in Minnesota\, a distinction given to cities that go above and beyond in supporting their service members and their families. Farmington will be receiving new city signs with yellow ribbons on them to highlight this honor. We are also being held up as a template for other cities for how to start a Warrior to Citizen Campaign and are being followed by the U of MN Humphrey Institute's state Warrior to Citizen Working Group. Join us to hear the latest on what this group has accomplished and how you can get involved personally and as a business in this great effort. Download the registration form here
