\n\n DCR Chamber has been very active in promoting an economic corridor between Dakota County and Rochester in the last several months. \; The key players in this initiative have also included Mayo Clinic\, the Rochester Chamber of Commerce as well as our partner River Heights Chamber of Commerce. \; As a result\, the working relationships that we have built between our business communities highlight synergies and economic opportunities that will benefit us all in the future. \; We will continue our efforts by promoting a leadership tour on Thursday\, November 3\, 2011. We have the opportunity to align business interests in Dakota County with business and community leaders in Rochester. \; The multi-faceted trip will include a tour of Mayo Clinic\, the University of Minnesota\, Rochester\, and a visit to the STEM Summit\, an annual event that engages more than 1500 Rochester area students in hands-on\, interactive opportunities to learn about STEM careers\, fields of study\, and higher education opportunities. \; In addition we will hear a review and update of the highspeed \;ZipRail project and the event will provide valuable face to face contact with business leaders and influencers in Rochester.
