DESCRIPTION:Stick around long enough in an industry or company and you'll see the pendulum swing back and forth with the passage of time. It is a conundrum. How do we address reoccurring\, persistent and unsolvable problems in the workplace? This session will present a framework for differentiating organizational problems that are solvable from those tensions that are not solvable. Our speaker\, Dr. Scott Morrell\, will focus on strategic thinking and leveraging organizational tensions.\n\n\n\nSession Objectives\n\n\n	Distinguish between chronic "either/or" problems-to-solve and "both/and" polarities-to-leverage within their organization\n	See functional conflict as a necessary business objective\n	Identify key polarities that need the most attention in 2016\n	Map organizational tensions for implementation in 2016\n\nAbout the Speaker\n\n\n\nDr. Scott Morrell\, President of Stone Arch Organization Development\, is based in Minneapolis. Scott works with senior leaders\, governing boards and management teams to execute more effective organizations leading to better performance. Scott serves a variety of industries\; healthcare\, higher education\, manufacturing\, finance\, banking and accounting\, state and local government and small businesses. He is called up to speak to a variety of professional organizations and civic groups about organizational health and effectiveness.
