EAGAN, MN – The Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce announced today that Maureen Scallen Failor has been hired to lead the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce as the new president. Failor was selected from a strong pool of candidates developed via an extensive search process. She will fill the vacancy created when Vicki Stute left in October to join the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce staff.
“We are extremely excited to have Maureen join us as our new president,” said Jon Althoff, senior director of global marketing for Skyline Exhibits and chair of the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “Maureen is a proven leader and brings her strong connections to the business community as well as the knowledge, creativity, and experience that will help our Chamber continue to grow and be a strong voice for business. I would like to thank Cindy Haas of Gateway Bank, for chairing the selection committee and for the committee’s long hours in assuring the best for the DCR Chamber.”

Failor comes to the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce with experience working with a number of business-focused organizations in different leadership roles. Most recently, she served as the president of the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, where she gained valuable knowledge and experience working on issues that included workforce development, transportation and how to keep the regional economy competitive.
In addition to her recent experience, Failor held a position at Meet Minneapolis as the vice president of government relations and special projects and vice president of administration and customer relations. She has also held various other leadership roles at International Express Corporation.
In her free time, Failor serves on various boards of directors that includes the Hennepin County Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee, Super Bowl LII Transportation & Logistics Committee, the MSP Airport Foundation and VEAP -Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People.
