The Open Door's 2019 March Campaign Kick-off Breakfast

Enjoy a free breakfast and learn how your team can join the largest food/fund drive effort in Minnesota this March! The Open Door will host a March Campaign Kick-off Breakfast at its Eagan Pantry on January 16. Representatives from local businesses, community organizations and faith communities are encouraged to attend. Come tour The Open Door’s Eagan Pantry. Enjoy your breakfast while you learn tips for hosting a successful food and fund drive to support The Open Door. Hear from special guest speaker Susan T. Schuster, Principal Community Relations Consultant, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN, about the most successful food and fund drive in Dakota County history. The annual Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign is a state-wide grassroots effort to restock food shelves at a critical time of year. Donations to food shelves drop following the winter holidays yet food insecurity and hunger remain persistent. The Open Door’s mission is a fresh approach to ending local hunger through access to healthy food. With the support of the community, The Open Door serves more than 6,000 individuals each month throughout Dakota County at its Eagan Pantry, 17 Mobile Pantry sites, Pop-Up Produce Stands, and the Garden to Table and Mobile Lunch Box programs.
