What You Need to Know.... Paid Sick and Safe Leave Will Impact Your Business
Join us on Friday, January 6 for a discussion on Paid Sick and Safe Leave and how it will impact your business, regardless of where you are located. In 2015, legislation requiring all Minnesota employers to provide employees with paid sick and safe time was proposed but stalled in committee. Since then Minneapolis and Saint Paul have adopted their own local ordinances, thereby creating significant impacts on all Minnesota employers - especially on small businesses - they are not exempt in this proposal. In fact, if you do any type of business in these cities, you must comply.
Cam Winton, director of energy and labor-management policy with the Minnesota Chamber will share his perspectives, an overview of the two local ordinances and how it impacts your company, and the recent news of the lawsuit filed by the business community.
